We miss Daddy...

Jason is away this weekend on a Men's Retreat with our church. They left on Friday afternoon...so Chloe and I hit the video store to rent a few "girl" movies--Chloe's picks were 'Cinderella II' and 'Pooh and Friends Pumpkin Patch'. We had some of our "girl friends" over for dinner and an evening of scrapbooking (Allyson was a partypooper and in bed at 7:00). Bedtime, Chloe gets to sleep with Mommy since Daddy is gone! All going well until, Chloe has a coughing fit and pees on Daddy's side of the bed! (uh-oh) Clothes change and Chloe was fast asleep in her bed. I quickly found myself at mid-night stripping the bedding and putting it in the wash and then wide awake. 3:00a.m. rolled around and I had accomplished a lot. Finally made myself go to sleep, but found myself waking up to every little sound our house made...I miss Daddy too! Today, we went to a baby shower, grocery shopped and spent an afternoon at home. I accomplished a few more pages of scrapbooking while Chloe and Ally worked on a card for Daddy. We're all anxious to see Daddy at church tomorrow morning. We miss Daddy when he's gone.

Family Night...

This week for family night we enjoyed a dinner of tortilla soup and salad...and Auntie Kate made an amazing pumpkin cheesecake (that was low fat)! After dinner we carved our pumpkins that we had got on Sunday. Chloe absolutely loved it! Auntie Kate and Uncle Ryan made their pumpkins to look like them! This was the first time Auntie Kate had carved a pumpkin...she enjoyed it as much as Chloe! Putting the candle in the pumpkin and putting it outside confused Chloe a lot, but she loved seeing it all aglow! Ally just watched and played with Papa until she crashed for bed! Great memories!

We made it to the pumpkin patch...muddy but no rain! All of us had a wonderful time trapezing through the fields looking for that "perfect pumpkin"! Chloe enjoyed the mud and had to have Papa Ron help her find the "one"! The tractor/hay ride out and back from the field was Ally's favorite part!

Family Tradition

Fall is here and for the Moore family we are headed to the Pumpkin Patch. We began this trip last year with the girls along with Jason's parents and grandparents. We had no idea that the trip would be the last trip that we would get to take with Grandma...so tomorrow sticking with family tradition we are headed to the pumpkin patch. This year Uncle Ryan and Auntie Kate are coming along with us. We are hoping for some break in the rain as we all try to find that "perfect" pumpkin! A great story and photos to come for sure!
