Bringing up a family should be an adventure, not an anxious discipline in which everybody is constantly graded for performance. - Milton R. Saperstein

A few days away...
...to Bella Beach! This past week we took a few days off from the "normal" routine and stayed with our dear friends, the Boos Family. They have two kids' that are both only a few months younger than both of ours. We met at the Lincoln City outlets to do a little shopping and when Chloe and Mikayla saw each other they both ran to each other squeeling as loud as possible! The girls do not see each other very often but always have the best of time together when they do. Our house was a small 2 bedroom beach bungalow...cutely decorated, but very quickly turned 'kid friendly' with many of the decorations put up higher than Allyson and Austin's fingers could reach! Our evenings after the kids were fast asleep were spent playing games (the match is on with the game of Sequence) and catching up! We took a lunch break on Tuesday and headed to Mo's and a very quick trip to the beach...the tide was coming in! The weather was cool while we were there, making it much easier to relax and enjoy just being in-doors. We took family walks around the development and spent much time dreaming about having a home there. Our time was well spent together and the morning we left it all felt too short. It is always great to get away for a few days and re-focus a bit and spend time with friends and family. Thanks Boos family for a great 3-day break!! Looking towards next years' outing!!

Football
We went to see cousin Parker in his first tackle football game today! It was so much fun to watch. He is a great player...Uncle John is one of the coaches. Chloe wore her "Parker Softball" shirt with his team colors in her hair and had to bring her pink football along! She was so in to watching the game and rooting for "Tarker"!! Ally tried to learn the technique of pom-pom's...but just kept smiling and looking pretty instead.
Fun time at the park with friends!!

Ally is getting so BIG!
Today, when I picked up Ally and her report card for the day...I was told that she knows how to say BUBBLE. What?!? I quickly tried it out...and she came right back with "bubble". I didn't cry, but I quickly realized how fast she is growing up and that she is not a baby.

Summer has ended!
The month of August seemed to wiz by and now it is September. Here is a list of a few things that have been happening for the Moore's...
...Chloe started her school year on Tuesday (Sept. 2nd) in her toddler classroom and got to buy school supplies (which her Mom loved shopping for!)
...Ally has given up the bottle and is a sippy-cup girl now!
...Kara finished a season of softball with the church team..found that she really missed playing sports, but her body didn't so much!!
...Jason got a new Apple computer and loves it!
...Chloe is sleeping through the night in her big girl underwear!!!
...Ally is using her sign-language to communicate more.
...Jason and Kara finally got their bedroom decorated exactly the way they've (SHE) wanted it!
So, we're back in business! September only brings more things to look forward to and the countdown till Christmas has begun! We love this time of year so do be watching for our many upcoming events!
