Bringing up a family should be an adventure, not an anxious discipline in which everybody is constantly graded for performance. - Milton R. Saperstein

Traditions
Well, we began our first tradition as a family of four this past November! Right after we ate Thanksgiving dinner we packed up the girls and headed to Portland. We decided that we would begin the tradition of kicking of the Christmas season by spending a few days in Portland, taking in the Christmas tree lighting ceremony, a visit with Santa, the Macy's holiday parade and of course some shopping. This year we stayed in the Paramount downtown, which was perfect for the parade, it went right in front of our hotel. Both girls did extremely well...they did great shopping--might as well start them young--the visit with Santa was a little tramatic...Chloe was not so sure when he was right in front of her and not just that "guy" Mom and Dad had been talking about and Ally decided to see if his beard was really real, by pulling as hard as she could. Next year we hope to add the zoo lights or some time to play in the snow.

Chloe learns the letter "C"
This past week in school Chloe learned the letter "C". When we would be in the car we would ask her what she was learning and she would instantly say "chseeeee" and hold up her hand in the sign "c" (they learn signlanguage in her class). We could then ask her what starts with "c"...caught (cat) and ckhoat (coat)...if we tried to go any farther she would nicely respond "all done mamma and daddy!"
She has shown a real love for singing. Her favorite pasttime these days is singing with her Daddy. She could listen and clap for him all day long. She has discovered the microphones at church and has been trying out her stage act the past few Sundays.
As the photo shows, Chloe is discovering things that Mommy's do!! I believe Ally would starve if Chloe wasn't there to tell me when she needed to be fed---at any sound out of Ally, Big Sister Chloe says, "Mommy, baby milk." What would I do without her these days!! She as well has tried to figure out how to feed her babies milk.
Daily she is learning new things and showing us just how much she takes in when we don't even realize it. She is so much fun!!!

Ally is growing so fast. She had her two month check up this week. We cannot believe how fast the days and weeks go by. Ally is a little charmer. She smiles and talks to anyone who'll look her way, even for a second. The baby blues she has captures many on-lookers! Her legs are beginning to kick her over onto her side...she'll be rolling before we know it. One of our favorite things about her is her RED hair! We are hoping the red stays, which comes from my (Kara's) Dad's side. Chloe absolutely adores her and wants to help her do anything and everything.
The Moore Family Happenings
Chloe has a big girl bed now!! This week she showed us that she might have a natural talent for gymnastics or pole vaulting when she got out of her bed twice all on her own! This prompted us very quickly to purchase a "big girl" bed. Tonight is the first night for her...she has fell out once already, but climbed right back in. She's growing up too fast for us.
